The joy of my life has been to serve Jesus in His Church over the past 54 years, 47 of which have been as senior minister of the Christian Family Centre. It’s been a wonderful journey both through the difficult times while developing as a leader when Jesus sustained and grew me, and the seasons which were pleasurable and the journey was easy. It’s been my honour to birth wonderful teams of pastors and elders. Together we have sought to lead the church in fulfilling its redemptive purpose of stewarding the Gospel of Christ to a spiritually needy and lost world, whom Jesus loves and died for.

Along the way, I have also had the privilege of working with many churches and have observed where they can get into trouble. This is especially when relationships break down even with the best intentions among their leaders, or where governance structures do not meet the unique needs of Jesus’ pure and spotless Bride. This book seeks to awaken the church to its God-ordained potential—functioning fully in the revival spirit the New Testament reveals as the norm.
